JANE L. DELGADO, Ph.D., M.S. is the President and CEO of the National Alliance for Hispanic Health. A highly respected and sought after thought leader, Dr. Delgado’s career has been one of transforming health and advocating for change to ensure all can live their healthiest life. She has been recognized by WebMD as a Health Hero, by Ladies’ Home Journal as one of their “Women to Watch… unsung heroines who are forging ahead to improve our health,” named by People en Español as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics, and received the Hispanic Heritage Award for Education.
A practicing clinical psychologist, Dr. Delgado is the author of internationally acclaimed The Latina Guide to Health: Consejos and Caring Answers (La guía de salud: consejos y respuestas para la mujer latina) and of the Buena Salud™ Guides series that has appeared on the Library Journal’s Best Health Book of the Year List and has won the International Latino Book Award. She has appeared on CNN, Univision, Telemundo, ABC World News Tonight, Fox News, and NPR. Her writing has appeared in many publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and "El Mundo" one of the most prestigious newspapers in Spain. Dr. Delgado lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband Mark.
